Splatoon 2 is set to release soon for the Nintendo Switch. Splatoon 1's music is better, not that I dislike 2's but 1's soundtrack is more memorable. This might be an unpopular opinion, but both campaigns really feel like a chore. i enjoy splatoon 2 more. It's got neat ideas, but the stages feel like they take forever. I never really cared much for the single player mode. Multiplayer is fun for both. The first game was rendered in 720p, and seeing Splatoon 2 shrunk down to the small screen of the Switch with that same resolution is absolutely gorgeous. but i played splatoon 1 a week ago to compare and i can't go back.funny vid

It is the sequel to the commercially successful Splatoon that was released as a brand new IP on the Nintendo Wii U. Of course, Splatoon 2 can also be played in handheld mode. I just really miss the Echolocator. I don't think Splatoon 2 is unobjectively better for the reasons I listed earlier, (mainly aesthetic things) but overall, Splatoon 2 is the better game.
